traditional elderberry syrup
A traditional elderberry syrup made with berries grown on our farm. This syrup is sweetened only with raw American honey and contains the juice and pulp of about 1/4 lb. of berries.
Since we use our whole berries, we can control everything about what goes into our syrup. We grow specific varieties for maximum antioxidant and anthocyanin content, and use no pesticides or herbicides of any kind. Our berries are also non-GMO, because there is no such thing as genetically modified elderberries.
The syrup also has ginger and a touch of cinnamon. We brew and bottle our syrup by hand, in small batches. We add a tiny amount of malic acid (a flavorless acid made from apples) to keep the syrup at the ideal pH.
Elderflower & Elderberry cocktail Syrup
Our elderflower simple syrup captures the delicate flavor of our elderflowers in early summertime. It’s similar to honeysuckle (which is a distant relative of the elder plant), if you’ve ever had the French liqueur St. Germain, you are familiar with its flavor. The elderberry cocktail syrup is similar to a rich grenadine, but with the tart and sweet flavor of elderberries. Use both to make delicious cocktails, mocktails, to top ice cream or yogurt, or for a unique sweetener.
Elderberry Infused Honey
We take locally sourced, raw honey and infuse it with our concentrated elderberry to give it a tart berry flavor with a deep red color. Great for drizzling over snacks and appetizers, or on breakfast or in a cup of tea.
