Traditional Elderberry Syrup Recipes
You can drink the traditional elderberry syrup by the spoonful, just like you would a cough syrup. But, you can also use it in a drink recipe for some variety!
Healthful Elderberry Hot Tea
This is Paige’s favorite way to drink the traditional elderberry syrup. Warms you up and keeps you feeling healthy.
2 Tbs Traditional Elderberry Syrup
1 Tbs fresh lemon juice
Add traditional elderberry syrup and fresh lemon juice to a mug. Fill mug with hot water.
ELDERBERRY COCKTAIL SYRUP RECIPES
elderberry lemonade
1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 parts elderberry cocktail syrup
6 parts water
Mix all ingredients and serve over ice.

Make the above recipe for elderberry lemonade, and simply add 2 parts gin!

Cody’s favorite variation. Make the elderberry lemonade receipt, and add 2 parts rum.
shenandoah sundress
1 oz elderberry cocktail syrup
1 oz elderflower liquear (such as St-Germain)
1 oz lemon juice
2 oz vodka
Put all ingredients in a shake with ice, shake vigorously. Serve in a coupe style glass. Garnish with a fresh sprig of thyme.
Tequila sunrise
.5 oz elderberry cocktail syrup
4 oz orange juice
2 oz tequila
Orange slice and maraschino cherry
Drop cherry in a tall collins glass. Add plenty of ice. Pour in cocktail syrup, orange juice, and tequila Serve with a straw (to stir) and garnish with an orange slice.
quick & easy mulled wine
6 oz red wine
1 oz elderberry cocktail syrup
1 oz orange juice
Dash of ground nutmeg and clove
Cinnamon stick
Mix all ingredients except the cinnamon stick in a coffee mug. Microwave for about one minute, put in cinnamon stick as garnish.
ELDERFLOWER COCKTAIL SYRUP RECIPES
french gimlet
1.5 oz elderflower cocktail syrup
2.5 oz gin
.5 oz lime juice
Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker over ice. Shake, strain into coupe glass with lime twist as garnish.
bichon frise
1.5 oz vodka
1 oz red grapefruit juice
.75 oz elderflower cocktail syrup
.25 oz lemon juice
Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker over ice. Shake, strain into martini glass. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or fresh gooseberries.
